Finding the best LED underglow kit for your vehicle is one of the coolest mods you can do to add some style to stand out from everyone else.
In this article I’m going to show you what I think are the best underglow kits for your money.
These kits will be judged on the following : cost, ease of Installation, durability, and features.

The OPT7 Aura All-Color LED Underbody Lighting Kit
OPT 7 is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands when it comes to automotive LED products. This kit has all of the qualities you’d expect: Reasonable price, easy to install.
Best of all, It comes with everything you need in the box.
It comes with a four piece aluminum LED strips, two remotes (one for your keychain), three fuse tap adapters, four 10ft extension cables. All covered by a one year limited warranty.
With the aluminum build on the LEDs themselves that is arguably the most important part of an underglow kit. They’re also filled with dense silicon to protect them from wet roads and everything else that goes under your vehicle. An underglow kit that can take some punishment? Sign me up.
Installation also features the cigarette lighter and the fuse options seen in other OPT7 products such as the interior lighting kit I recently reviewed. You really can’t ask for an easier way to get up and running.
And when it comes to features, nothing else comes close. You have full control over the color and mode of your lights with 16 colors and multiple patterns to customize your vehicle with!
Overall it is very clear that no other kit compares to what you’re getting with this one. The cost, features, installation, and durability all come together to make an excellent product.
You can even see in the reviews that people have had good experiences with customer support, which speaks well to the company giving a damn about its customers!
LEDGlow Blue LED Underglow Kit
It almost seems unfair to compare any underglow kits to the OPT7, because they just fall short in so many ways. However, it’s still valuable to have options when you’re making a purchase.
The LEDGlow blue kit Is a much more cut and dry product. The extent of its features are basically that it includes an off switch for the lights.
It includes two 36 inch and two 48 inch LED underbody tubes, as well as plug and play connectors to get them installed.
The only pro here is that it costs less than the OPT7 kit, but that’s about it. If you know what you’re looking for and don’t need the extra features it might be a good choice.
I do have to say, the color of these LEDs is a really cool blue that is very bright. Other color kits are available.
Zhol Underbody LED Light Kit
The last option in this best of list is considerably cheaper than the other two options, and has more features than the LEDGlow kit above.
So what’s the catch? Installation is more difficult than the other two.
You will need more wiring knowledge than the above kits as this kit does not tie things up as nicely with the wires. It also does not include anything to mount the lights other than the adhesive they come with, which is not enough in most cases.
You’ll definitely want to have some L brackets and zip ties to make sure they stay in place. Don’t forget wire extenders too since they are not included.
However, they also come with a wireless remote and four buttons that control the power, sound activated mode, and lighting pattern. Feature wise, very cool.
The shell is made of PVC which is a plus, but the lights do not appear to have much protection other than that – so choose wisely where you place them!
If you have the technical know how to get them up and running you can save some serious cash with the Zhol kit. They’re feature rich and extremely affordable which earned them a mention here.
Summing up all of these LED Underglow Kits
All of these kits have their strong ponts. However, the OPT7 kit is the clear winner because of how well they do everything. From features to ease of installation they are just a cut above the competition.
The obvious trade-off is price, but that would not discourage me from recommending them heavily. It’s not a bad thing to pay a little more for the best option.
Don’t hesitate to check out all of these kits though to decide which the best for you. Everyone has different expectations and you may find one that speaks more to yours more than the others.
In any case, I am sure one of these LED underglow kits will be an awesome way to get some attention when you’re out on the town.
