Once again Hyperikon provides some of the biggest bang for your buck. Their LED tube lights are no exception to the quality that I’ve come to expect from them. These 4 foot shop lights put out a great light to illuminate your garage or work space.
There are four available color combinations to choose from, 3000K (Soft white), 4000K (Daylight glow), 5000k (Crystal white glow), 6000K (Cool Bright White). So whatever kind of ambience you want, you can have!
These LED tube lights are a great choice if you’re looking to replace fluorescent bulbs that are finicky in less than perfect weather conditions. Read on to find out why they are a superior alternative.
So how well does this LED tube light work
These are basically everything you could want from an LED shop light. To me there are three questions on everyone’s mind when it comes to an LED light:
- Is the light quality good?
- Does it have the relevant safety certifications?
- Is it easy to install?
Typically when you’re dealing with the cheaper brands the top two questions are a solid no, but with Hyperikon you really don’t need to worry about that. Cheap LEDs tend to have issues with humming or other issues. If you are coming from a fluorescent tube light you will want to be sure you’re capable of converting the fixture to be used. It does come with a quick installation guide and four tombstones to help you out.
One of the best selling points of them is that they can handle cold weather. A lot of LED tube lights might have struggled with that in the past, but not these. You want any lights you have that are exposed to the elements to be able to hold up to shifts in the weather.
However, they aren’t PERFECT. I have a couple of complaints with them. They are as follows:
- Installation while not difficult, does require basic electrical knowledge
- 1 second delay when turning on
Neither of these are deal breakers in my opinion, but they need to be said all the same. Installation is one of those things that is easy to forget about when making a purchase. However, with the guide they provide it’s not a big deal.
Next, the delay when you turn them on. This isn’t a huge deal in most applications I would imagine, but some people want their lights to come on instantaneously which is not the case with these. It wouldn’t stop me from buying them.
Hyperikon is one of the best companies producing LED lights, in my opinion. For the minor cons, you get a lot of pros:
- Quality lights
- Great customer support
- Fast shipping
- Energy savings
Further thoughts on the Hyperikon LED tube lights
They definitely aren’t the cheapest lights in the game. When you’re looking for a solid product that will last you for years though, look no further. There are a lot of cheap companies out there (especially on Amazon) selling LED lights that are cheap. If they break, you’re probably going to have to replace them. It’s just easier to avoid the unnecessary hassle and go with the quality option.
Another key point of any product is that it has a ton of good reviews. (At least over 500 in most cases) Many companies will fudge this by offering incentives (free/discounted products) in exchange for a 5 star review. You can tell these products because most of the time people will put a disclaimer at the bottom of their review. Hyperikon legitimately deserves their ratings.
And it almost goes without saying with LED lights that you’re going to save a lot of money over time on your energy bill, especially if you tend to leave your lights on. Since these lights are rated for a lifespan of 50,000 hours, you’ll be raking in the savings for quite some time.
