LED under cabinet lighting like these from Albrillo are an excellent alternative to conventional lights. Not only are they often more bright, they also last longer! With the extra light in those dark spaces under cabinets etc. you won’t struggle any more to find things.
The energy savings and easy installation are only a part of what makes these lights a great choice for your home.
Read on to find out what other features these under cabinet lights have to offer!
Diving into the details of these lights
The key point of any review about a light, is brightness. These lights put out a total of 900 lumens of clean, white light which is just incredible. Especially when you stop to consider that they are only twelve inches long! Aside from the incredible brightness, they are also dimmable which is amazing.
This makes them an ideal choice for spaces like kitchens where your need for light might change throughout the day. You’re not just stuck with a glaring light that hurts your eyes!
Secondly, but not any less important is how easy they are to install. The lights come with everything you need to install (Adhesive, screws, brackets) and are plug and play. That means all that you have to do is plug them into an outlet and you are ready to go.
This is such a huge plus, because even if you have the electrical know-how, it’s still more work you have to do! The older I get, the less time I have to waste and any added convenience is huge for me. For people with electrical know how this might not be as big of a deal though.
LED Under cabinet lighting is also an easy way to save on your electricity bill. These lights only use a total of 10W of power on high, medium drawing a measly 4W and less than 1W on low. Rest assured, these won’t add any heat to your kitchen! And if you’re like me, you don’t want any more heat in there than you have to have.
They also have a very small profile (each light being 12”) which makes them perfect for replacing larger traditional lighting. Whether that’s in the kitchen, garage, or a closet. There won’t be any trouble fitting them in a place where you already had a light.
It might take a little bit of work in awkward spaces to make the power cable look good, but that’s the price of convenience I suppose.
Putting everything into perspective
Overall, it’s hard to say anything bad about these! They provide a huge amount of light without eating up electricity and are incredibly versatile. There’s no tricky or difficult wiring involved, you just plug them in and they are ready to go.
I especially like that they included some mounting material for those of us who tend to not have any on hand.
If I had to sum them up in one word, I would choose “efficiency”. They perform well and can be installed practically anywhere. The way that they link together is very neat and further simplifies setting them up.
However, they are not waterproof so it is highly recommended that you only use them indoors. Which really isn’t much of a drawback when you consider that most uses for them are inside!
